Sir James Dyson should be invited to join Britain's Brexit negotiating team, a senior Tory MP has suggested. Brexit Secretary David Davis also said Sir James was
"a brilliant exponent of what a great success this country can be when its engineers get stuck into the job''.
Businessman and Leave campaigner Sir James has said it is time for the UK to walk away from Brexit negotiations, calling it outrageous that Brussels was demanding "billions and billions'' for Britain's exit bill.
Tory MP Julian Lewis, chairman of the Defence Select Committee, asked Mr Davis:
"Is there any prospect of the excellent Sir James Dyson being invited to join our splendid team of negotiators?''
The Brexit Secretary replied:
"I have spoken to Sir James Dyson. I don't necessarily agree with his, how can I say, his tactical advice, but I have to say he is a brilliant exponent of what a great success this country can be when its engineers get stuck into the job.''
