Dr Julian Lewis: May we have a statement or debate on the circumstances of the seizure of a British-flagged tanker by Iran in the Gulf? If there is not enough time for that, will the Leader of the House have a word with the Secretary of State for Defence, because the Defence Committee on Monday has a session planned, but the former Secretary of State – my right hon. Friend the Member for Portsmouth North (Penny Mordaunt) – has so far not yet received the information that she requires from the Ministry of Defence to enable her to give testimony to us?
[The Leader of the House of Commons (Mr Jacob Rees-Mogg): That is a matter of the utmost importance and I shall certainly ask my office to contact the Ministry of Defence. It is only right that Select Committees should get the information that they require.]
