POINT OF ORDER – HONORARY QUEEN'S COUNSELS - 15 February 2011

Dr Julian Lewis: On a point of order, Mr Speaker. In the light of the fascinating short debate we have just had [Master's Degrees (Minimum Standards)], are you in a position to inform the House whether the practice of making right hon. and hon. Members who happen to be lawyers honorary Queen's counsels is still in existence?

[Mr Speaker: I am not sure that I can inform the House on any aspect of that matter. However, as the hon. Gentleman will know – I cannot imagine that he is referring to any particular Member – it is not within my bailiwick. I think that we had better leave it there.]
