Dr Julian Lewis: In the interests of fairness to Lord Owen, I am sure that the hon. Gentleman [Denis MacShane] would, on reflection, think that he should describe Lord Owen and his campaign as very much in favour of Europe and of this country's membership of it, but against Britain joining the single European currency, a view that is shared by at least 64 percent of the electorate.
