Dr Julian Lewis: My point will not affect the main thrust of the hon. Gentleman's [Tam Dalyell's] last question. I think that I heard him say that Britain and America retain large stocks of biological and chemical weapons. I believe that neither Britain nor America has any stocks of biological weapons, which were banned in 1972, other than the most minute amount for defensive research purposes. The hon. Gentleman may wish to correct his earlier remark.
