Dr Julian Lewis: In a spirit of non-partisanship, when the right hon. Gentleman's party was in government, they introduced the veterans badge, which is a form of recognition that can be worn all year round. Perhaps he ought to address that point.
[Denis MacShane: My very next point was that a veterans badge – welcome as it is – is the most that can be aspired to. Only 10% of those eligible for the badge have taken it up.
